The journey to Fall Harvest begins early in the spring each year with the preparation of soil, sowing of seeds, and caring of young plants. Fall Harvest marks the maturity of the process for many fruits and vegetables. The pleasure of the beautiful colors and rich flavors of autumn do not need to end with the harvest, but may be preserved to enjoy throughout the year. We invite you to join us to learn how to safely preserve your favorite fall fruits, vegetables and nuts. We will cover the process of canning pumpkin and will share recipes for using it. Apples are everywhere in the fall and have so many uses…apple pie anyone? Pecans, crunchy and slightly sweet, are available all year if stored correctly. Join us and learn how to preserve your fall bounty.
