Event Details

Join UC Master Food Preservers of Sacramento County to learn how to cure and preserve olives. 

This is a hands on class where you will learn about different levels of olive ripeness, why and how to cure them, and how to preserve them

You’ll work in small groups to start a lye cure and a fermented Sicilian-style green olive.

Registration will include:

  • 1 jar brined olives and 1 jar lye-cured olives to finish at home
  • Goggles 
  • Gloves 

When: Friday, November 1, 2024, 1 till 4 PM

Fee: $50 payable before class.
