UC Master Food Preserver Program is Hiring a Statewide Virtual Delivery Program Coordinator

The UC Master Food Preserver Program is hiring a Coordinator to implement a new grant-funded statewide Virtual Delivery Program. This new position is a Community Education Specialist 4 (CES4) who will manage UC certified volunteers located throughout California as they design and deliver online classes and workshops; create content for the statewide UC Master Food Preserver social media sites; answer questions through a statewide helpline; develop a FAQ system; and create an e-newsletter. The position includes travel to several sites throughout California during the summer to conduct in-person labs as part of the annual new volunteer training.

Under the supervision of the UC Master Food Preserver Program Manager, this position will develop and implement the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant deliverables, evaluate progress towards the grant’s objectives and deliverables, oversee the annual reappointment process for volunteers, recruit volunteers for the 2025 training program, and manage the day-to-day activities of the program.

While this position normally is based in Davis, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements for applicants living in the State of California.
